Hr professionals need to go away as a career. They add no value.
"You can't get someone where you want them to go if you don't know where they are stock " "You can't lead if you can't lead EVERYONE" Thank you!
Why would I need to accept their delusions?
They aren't delusions, and you don't need to accept anything, you just need to know how to mind your damn business and leave people alone to live their own lives that have absolutely nothing to do with you.
No
why no?
@@snow4summer515 Because other people don't exist to perform your emotional labor
@@hammondOT what is the emotional labor here?
@@snow4summer515 Read the title of the video. Other people don't exist to make you feel supported and seen and loved and valid. Do your own emotional labor and leave your hangups out of the workplace. We're all just trying to earn money to eat and pay rent. We aren't there to serve as background actors in your personal journey.
@hammondOT do you believe it would be bad if everyone cared for eachother's emotions and well-being?
So this is propaganda pushing the idea that there it is possible to change sex . Sorry but this is so wrong , this speaker is a chick with a beard and despite the meds and surgery will always be a chick . And beside that was working with kids , Na this is so wrong . Her biggest accomplishment was having a co-worker lie for her and use her fake name for pay . This is just wrong and to brainwash the children into thinking that she has changed sex , Na that's child abuse .
If you were forced to wear women's clothes, you would probably be uncomfortable, I am assuming Mark, you are a man.. Or tight, uncomfortable clothes. It's pretty much the same as that but on a much bigger scale, for the individual that is not comfortable with their body. If someone wants to change something to feel comfortable, no one moans about someone dying their hair blonde, or wearing a certain brand of jeans because they like the fit, this is no different. Some kids were bullied at my school, because their parents couldn't afford designer jeans, doesn't make them bad or wrong, they were still good kids, just without those expensive jeans. Someone standing up and saying it's okay if you don't have designer jeans, makes them feel less bad about themselves. This is very much the same as that, on a bigger scale but it is the same. It is not being forced on kids. There are just people standing up to say it's okay, saving some kids from feeling bad for being different. Being helped to feel okay just being yourself, is the main point, its not about making anyone think or do something that is not good for them. Also if someone did want to do that, it is not an easy process to start or get hormones (at least 2 years plus therapy before they even think about it, and if under 18, no chance until you are older, then join that 5 year queue to get to the 2 year queue. It is also a lot to do to yourself and go through, not something people would do on a whim).. It's not just you decide to do this and off you go! (no one realises that you must really want to do that, because it certainly aint easy, let alone operations ouch, and relying on hormones forever, not ideal) So not as simple as just dying your hair :) If you were forced into tight women's jeans, you might prefer baggier mens ones, (and that might be less squashy on your parts) :) How long could you handle wearing them? Once it got so painful you might as well give in and find a pair that fits, till your parts have turned blue? Like tight shoes, after a time eventually you just can't stand it anymore. There is no right or wrong way for an individual, it is just what makes them happy, and if not hurting anyone, why does it matter? They have got to that point with the unbearable shoes. The person is well aware they are still biologically female, they just found what felt right for them, and are now trying to fit into the world. It's a lot of work to do that, just to feel comfortable in their own body, you gotta really be uncomfortable to do all of that. They aren't glorifying fake name, they are explaining how they managed in the world and still managed to navigate the systems. Quite a lot of work to fit into the world, sill work, live and not upset people by trying to merge into the background. Their job has made it more known, but most people just want to put on their comfortable jeans and get on with life :) If you don't understand and don't agree, that is your opinion, but turning it into some horror story that is not, is not helpful.
Wow I love this 🩷
So, is HR just a cult? Where people can gain power at work by exploiting immutable characteristics?
I worked a retirement job at Disney. I spoke to management that we were doing a disservice to our College interns by not holding them to basic expectations in the work place. Almost all said "They're just kids. Many away from home for the first time" etc. These kids will be in for a shock when they get thier first "Real" job.
Management don't want to train, that's why they you to be experienced, then pay you entry-level pay 😂
Let’s go Ama!!
Thas was a great interview, well done Ama!
This is so awesome and i’m very proud of you 👏🏿🔥🔥 Keep going, girly 🙌🏿🙌🏿
Ama is the best person in this space!!!! She is "That Inclusion Lady!!!!"
AI non sentient. All this passion, creativity, etc will not matter in a non sentient world. By the Time you realize the power in AI, it will be too late.

Insightful and appreciate the fresh perspective on helping folks transition. Would be interested to hear more employee sentiment on that program and its impact on recruitment and retention.
Very good information
DEI needs to go away
The problem with modern companies is they lack the wages to attract people with skill sets so they are left complaining about the modern slaves they are left with. Go fuq urself pal.
So many great pieces of wisdom in this video. I’m new to HR and loving this podcast. Hope to go for my SHRM certification someday! And definitely gonna check out more of Robert Glazer’s work!
If it's on the internet, and people can exploit vulnerabilities for money, it will happen.
Change can not happen unless people believe in change ( Leader must believe in change ) Outstanding and fabulous episode
Q&A and stuff like that they just start to get bored of that and they act with us to the change, it's a very common practice and it works every time
Maybe
"Who promised you tomorrow?" - value the moment of this time. Good advice.

we need to stop being so offended and look at the persons *intentions*
Merry Christmas is not offensive. If you think it is it's a you problem.
LMAO, shove your microaggressions.... And Merry Christmas...
WTF.... Oh and Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 Lol...
Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄
I will say merry Christmas because that's what I celebrate I'm not changing that.
Crack kills
If my words hurt your feelings, then you may have deeper issues to deal with than "Merry Christmas."
Anybody who's offended by the fact that somebody says Merry Christmas to them needs to go home and reevaluate the way that they think😢
We talk about yet the average job for someone to get into skilled trades is less than what McDonalds is paying. Plus you're paying out of pocket for benefits, tools, gas to a jobsite. I can see why nobody is wanting to do this line of work.
Thank you for covering this topic. It's one no one likes to talk about but the conversation needs to happen regularly
HR is complicit
Thank you Anita for sharing your insights within our profession. This was such a great discussion and I appreciate all the takeaways!
As a ungrad who will be graduating soon, now a days jobs want experience and not just that degree that you are getting. Honestly I have realized I experience on the job itself is more important then college. I am literally struggling finding a job these days because my of the requirements sure I got a couple internships but the time period doesn’t add up. They expect to have at least 3 years or even 5. Most of the entry level jobs are specifically for early career not actual entry levels. They expect more then just a degree why am I wasting 30k of my life for this degree 😫. I mean sure the classes Ive taken has taught me well enough about the reality itself. Well good luck to everyone out there and be careful what you apply for always do your research. 10:20
